My Philosophy

Congratulations. Just by being here you are taking the first step toward inner healing. Selecting the right therapist for you is important, so please take a moment to read some information about me and my philosophy.

I am a Colorado native and outdoor enthusiast. I have been working in the field of mental health for 15 years and have been a practicing therapist for 6 years. I believe in people and I believe in you. I believe you contain the capacity to heal. My goal is to help you harness your inner strength to improve your own capacity for self-healing. My job as your therapist is to help you rediscover a core sense of self that may feel lost due to trauma, unhealthy relationship patterns, grief and loss, abuse, and the other challenges that come into our lives and damage our core sense of self. I can help you rediscover what has worked for you, as well as teach new tools, provide therapeutic support, assist in reprocessing traumatic memories, provide parenting support, and provide psychoeducation and guidance on your journey to healing.

I am a licensed professional counselor. I have a lot of experience working with trauma and have specialized experience treating clients with sexual trauma. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a highly effective tool in treating trauma. I also have extensive training in attachment-based therapy, synergetic play therapy, and structural family therapy. I have worked with clients of all ages, and I am most passionate about working with troubled teens and adults in search of personal healing!
