Individual Counseling, EMDR, & Family Therapy

Individual Counseling

I provide a eclectic approach to individual work. I incorporate aspects of attachment therapy, psychoanalysis, client centered therapy, CBT(cognitive behavioral therapy), Internal Family Systems, and more to best suit each client’s needs.

EMDR

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a highly effective tool for the reprocessing of traumatic events/memories. Please call for more detailed information or to set up a free consultation and click on the link below for helpful information from the international association of EMDR professionals, EMDRIA.

Family Therapy

I work from a structural family therapy approach. I can help repair unhealthy family patterns. I believe it is not the family that is broken, it is the family’s problem-solving mechanism that is failing.

This is a difficult question to answer. It varies, based on many factors. I work closely and transparently with my clients to build a treatment plan that works best for them.

I have extensive experience working with trauma, in addition to a number of other common challenges: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger, existential concerns, and identity issues

I understand that coming to therapy can be a difficult decision and for some an anxiety-provoking one. I help my clients work on issues they have identified and also help my clients identify areas to work on through gentle support and guidance. I never force a client to talk about something they don’t want to, shame, or judge my clients. Your emotional and physical safety is my number one concern. Always.
